WELCOME!

The Tarnoff Art Center (TAC) is an established, non-profit (501[c]3) community art center located near Rowe, New Mexico.

(Rowe NM is 20 mi north of Santa Fe)

We provide a variety of fantastic art workshops, studio rental / usage, and collaborative art making get togethers.  These include ceramics, metal arts, and studio arts in our three fully equipped beautiful studios. The Campus is situated on 10.5 wooded acres located at the base of the majestic Rowe Mesa, on beautiful pristine land surrounded by juniper and pinion trees.

Also, TAC’s location offers ample opportunity for participants to explore a multitude of beautiful and historic sites nearby.  Only 20 miles east of Santa Fe, NM via I-25, students can easily access this internationally renowned destination of eclectic art galleries, historical culture, and world-class dining. Additionally, TAC is located less than five miles from the Pecos National Historical Park, opportunities abound to explore the history, geology, nature, and cultural anthropology of the local region.  The Park includes a museum and an ancient Pueblo village with guided tours available daily.

The Tarnoff Art Center includes an impressive roster of accomplished and professional art instructors, with modern, fully-equipped, insured studios.  Currently the TAC offers a combination of art workshops to the general public and groups, and has also formed project PAACE, (Pecos Area Arts Collaboration Endeavor), this projects’ aim is to provide art classes to local organizations and groups in the Pecos and surrounding areas whom cannot fund art programs independently.

Our most established program through PAACE was our partnership with the Pecos Independent School District of San Miguel County.  This involved providing students with art education in a year-round, after-school program, as well as three-week, intensive workshops every June for three years.  This program has been put on hold because the district has lost it’s 21st Century Federal funding which supported this program, (in combination with fundraising and donations from TAC).  TAC and the PISD are working writing grants and donation campaigns to re-establish this program.  So stay tuned...
